AIRLINE PUT DOWN

The story regarding Continental Airline's plans to return to the Triad with three New York flights (News & Record, March 16) left me outraged.

How could elected Triad government bodies encourage the return of an airline that is owned by a corporate thief, Frank Lorenzo, siphoned from Eastern Airlines to try and boost Continental?Continental was and still remains an airline with nothing more than low fares and poor service.

The passengers who are misled by this announcement of a ``new and much improved airline' will only suffer more inconvenience.
