The Guilford County Board of Health has delayed naming a new health director until Friday.
The board postponed its scheduled announcement Tuesday when it made small changes in the new director's proposed contract at a closed meeting, said board chairwoman Jackie Manzi, a Guilford County commissioner.The candidate did not attend but later agreed to the changes, Manzi said.
Manzi declined to identify him but said he is a former public health director in North Carolina who now works in the private sector.
The board will introduce its choice at 8:30 a.m. Friday in the Department of Social Services auditorium, 301 N. Eugene St.
