Cardi B and 2 Chainz headline N.C. A&T’s homecoming concert

GREENSBORO — Rap stars Cardi B and 2 Chainz will headline the Aggie Homecoming Concert in November, and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Kirk Franklin will perform at separate shows during homecoming weekend.

Ella Mai, Lil Baby and DJ E Sudd also are scheduled to perform at the annual student homecoming concert. That show at the Greensboro Coliseum is set for 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3.

The Aggie Homecoming Gospel Concert featuring Kirk Franklin will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Coliseum. The N.C. A&T Gospel Choir also is on the bill.

The N.C. A&T Step Show Battle and Band Blowout will be held at the Coliseum at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 2. The step show features A&T step teams, and the band blowout pits the N.C. A&T Blue and Gold Marching Machine against the Norfolk State Spartan Legion.

Tickets for all three events went on sale Friday at Tickemaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000 and at the coliseum box office.

The annual Alumni Homecoming Concert features R&B legend Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, who has won 11 Grammy Awards and written and produced numerous No. 1 songs over his career. The alumni concert will be held at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Guilford Ballroom of the Koury Convention Center.

Tickets for the alumni show go on sale at 1 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Alumni-Foundation Event Center on campus. Individual tickets and tables are available. Call 336-433-5570 or email alumni@ncat.edu for more information.

These events are part of N.C. A&T’s homecoming weekend, billed as the Greatest Homecoming On Earth.

Other scheduled events include the 2018 N.C. A&T Aggie FanFest, which will run Nov. 2-4 at War Memorial Stadium; and the annual homecoming football game at BB&T Stadium. The Aggies take on Norfolk State at 1 p.m. Nov. 3.
