Cablevision of Greensboro intends to raise its fees for all cable service by 5 percent starting Dec. 1, according to a letter to Greensboro City Council members from D.K. McLaughlin, the company's vice president of operations.

The letter said that the company's rate increase is based on operating expenses for 1992 and increases in costs expected in 1993.The 5 percent increase would be about 70 cents on the basic cable rate of $13.95 per month for seven channels. About $1.13 would be added to the 37-channel service that currently costs $22.60.
