CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S CLUBS

Women in the Greensboro area are invited to attend local Christian Women's Club meetings, sponsored by the Christian Business and Professional Women's Council of America. Here is a list of the local January meetings.The Greensboro Christian Women's Club Brunch will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, at Sedgefield Country Club.

The special feature will highlight decades of fashion by Putting on the Ritz. Vocalist Tamie Schumann will provide the music. Dee Hiner is the keynote speaker.

A free preschool nursery will be provided at Asbury Methodist Church. Cost of the brunch is $6.75. Reservations and cancelations for adults and children must be made by Friday, by calling Sarah McMichael at 854-2614.

The Tuesday After Five Club will meet for a 6:15 p.m. dinner Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the Central YMCA, 1015 W. Market St. The special feature will be gift giving ideas from happy Happenings. Soloist Sheri Duncan will provide the entertainment and Marietta Mobley will provide the dinner music. The keynote speaker will be Joan Kafer from Burlington.

Cost is $8 and reservations are due Saturday. Call Ramona Aune at 288-6939 or Jane Readling at 288-5474.

The Greensboro Southeast Christian Women's Club will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the Ramada Inn, 830 W. Market St.

This month's special feature will be a presentation on body language by Robin Brewington. Betty Ritch will provide the music, and Cindy Hall will speak.

Cost is $7.75. A free preschool nursery will be provided at Southeast Baptist Church. For reservations for adults and children, call Mildred Joyce at 674-6486 or Mary Lou Younts at 674-5048. Reservations are due by Monday.

The Greensboro Christian Women's Club will meet from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Elks Club, 2201 W. Cornwallis Drive.

The special feature will be a presentation on English collectables by the Tinder Box. Vocalist Suzanne Morris will provide the music. Peggy Greene will be the keynote speaker.

A free preschool nursery will be provided at Christ United Methodist Church from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Cost of the lunch is $8. Make luncheon and nursery reservations by Tuesday, Jan. 16, by calling Betty Roberts at 855-8082, Janie Love at 273-4711 or Mable Hoffman at 668-2178.

The Thursday After Five Club will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Central YMCA, 1015 W. Market St.

For the special feature, Martha Barlow, a physical fitness expert with the YWCA, will share exercises routines. Soprano Suzanne Morris will provide the music, and Peggy Greene will speak.

Cost is $7.50. Make reservations by Wednesday, Jan. 17, by calling Lillian Coley at 292-5395 during the day and Barbara Brown at 275-6245 or Anna Sears at 288-6204 at night.
