CONGRESS WANTS B-2 DATA

The Air Force has failed to provide Congress critical data on the B-2 stealth bomber, making it difficult for lawmakers to take up the Pentagon's budget request, said the chairman of the House Armed Services Committee.

Rep. Les Aspin, D-Wis., in a letter to Air Force Secretary Donald Rice, said his panel some time ago had sought the results of laboratory and scale-model tests of the radar-evading characteristics of the B-2.
