Al Roker is shown at the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame Awards gala in New York on April 14, 2022.

TV weatherman Al Roker is recovering after being hospitalized with blood clots in his leg and lungs.

“So many of you have been thoughtfully asking where I’ve been,” the 68-year-old “Today” show weatherman wrote on Instagram Friday. “Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs. After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers and hope to see you soon.”

“Love you Al! Hurry home. You are missed and loved beyond measure!” Jenna Bush Hager added.

Roker and NBC did not say when he expects to be back on TV, but next week is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, shown annually by NBC with Roker as one of the hosts.

Roker has dealt with a number of health issues in recent years, including prostate cancer, a shoulder surgery due to arthritis in 2020 and a hip replacement in 2019.

Roker, who started his TV career in Syracuse, N.Y., has been at the “Today” show for more than 25 years as a weatherman and co-host of the NBC morning show’s “3rd Hour Today,” on top of hosting shows on the Food Network and the Weather Channel, plus acting in movies and TV shows like “Zombieland: Double Tap,” “Sharknado 5,” “Kung Fu Panda 3,” “The Simpsons,” “Seinfeld” and “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.”

Mayan Lopez's co-star in her new NBC sitcom "Lopez vs. Lopez" happens to be her real-life dad, George Lopez. The two play a father and daughter who are repairing their relationship after years of not getting along. George's previous TV roles in "The George Lopez Show" and "Lopez" were based on his real life, and so is "Lopez vs. Lopez." After her parents' 2012 divirce, Mayan says she and her dad didn't have much contact until they reconnected during the pandemic. During that time, Mayan would film a lot of TikTok videos with her dad and a producer noticed them and thought their story would make good TV.
