Woodrow Joseph ``Joe' Stanley, 70, of 5105 McConnell Road died Wednesday at Wesley Long Community Hospital.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
A retired employee of Meredith Swimming Pool Co., he was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a deacon and former Sunday school superintendent at his church.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Dorothy S. Stanley; sons, Joe Stanley of Fayetteville, Mike Stanley of McLeansville; daughters, Mrs. Kay Whitt of Greensboro, Mrs. Sylvia Winston of New York City; sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hinson, Mrs. Emma Nobles, both of Chadbourn; brothers, Woodus Stanley of Greensboro, Wilson Stanley of Florence, S.C., Bill Stanley of Wilmington, Elroy Stanley of North Augusta, S.C.; three grandchildren.
The family will be at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today.

HIGH POINT - Mrs. Leota Jane Norman Starnes, 78, of 1009 Mill Ave. died Thursday at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Highland United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
A native of Surry County, she was a retired employee of Highland Yarn Mills. She was a member of the Sunday school and United Methodist Women at her church.
Surviving are husband, Onslow Murphy Starnes; daughters, Mrs. Frances Scarboro of High Point, Mrs. Pat Bodenhamer of Archdale; sons, Sherman Starnes of Franklinton, J.D. Starnes of Thomasville, Carl Starnes of Stanfield; stepsisters, Mrs. Mary Skeen, Mrs. Bessie Hare, Mrs. Ellen Asbill, all of High Point; eight grandchildren.

Funeral for Mrs. Frances Lucille Zwicky, 77, of 2216 Woodberry Drive, who died Wednesday, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.
A native of Greenville, S.C., she was a homemaker and a member of Presbyterian Church of the Covenant. She was a member of the Faselo Sunday school class at her church and was active in the PTA.
Surviving are sons, Frederick C. Zwicky of Anderson, S.C., Henry A. Zwicky of the home; daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Z. Justice of Greensboro; sisters, Mrs. Pauline Floyd of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Estelle Osborne of Greensboro; four grandchildren.
