CHARLES BEER

Charles J. Beer, 85, of 5129 Church St. died Tuesday at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.Memorial service will be at a later date.

He was a retired accountant.

Surviving is one grandchild.

Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

MISS SARAH BROCK

Miss Sarah Lee Brock, formerly of 215 Westover Terrace, died Wednesday at The Evergreens.

Funeral plans are incomplete at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Funeral Home.

CHARLES CARROLL

STOKESDALE - Charles Dewain Carroll, 27, of 8208 Marne Drive died Wednesday at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

Funeral will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Perry and Spencer Funeral Home in Madison.

A Guilford County native, he was an employee of Culps Ticketing Co.

Surviving are sons, Charles Mungo, Antoine Mungo, both of Greensboro, Desmond Mungo of the home; daughter, Miss Natasha Carroll of Stokesdale; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Carroll of the home; brothers, Anthony Carroll of Stokesdale, Steven Carroll of Germany, Lewis Carroll of Reidsville; sisters, Mrs. Peggy King, Miss Sandra Carroll, Miss Lisa Carroll, all of Greensboro, Miss Koffey King of the home.

The family will be at the funeral home 7:30-8 p.m. Friday.

MRS. PAMELA CARTY

Mrs. Pamela Craig Carty, 20, of 1807 W. Cone Blvd. died Tuesday at her home.

Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.

She was a member of First Church of God and a receptionist.

Surviving are father, Larry Craig of the home; mother, Mary J. Felder of Greensboro; maternal grandparents, Bill and Mary Jones of Greensboro; paternal grandmother, Addie Craig of Greensboro.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. today.

MRS. HELEN COMMANDER

HIGH POINT - Mrs. Helen Ruth Commander of 1103 Park St. died Sunday at N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park.

A Marlboro County, S.C. native, she was an employee of Southern Die Casting and Engineering Co.

Surviving are husband, Willie Commander Sr.; daughter, Ms. Helen Burns of the home; sons, Willie Commander Jr. of High Point, Tyrone Commander, Bobby Commander, Don Commander, all of the home; father, Forrest Burns of Society Hill, S.C.; sisters, Mrs. Barbara Grace of High Point, Mrs. Jessie Galloway, Mrs. Doris Hunter, Mrs. Mary Bethea, Mrs. Frances Vandiver, all of New York City; brothers, Roy Burns of High Point, Jule Burns of New York City; five grandchildren.

The family will be at Haizlip Funeral Home 7-8 p.m. Friday, other times at the residence.

MRS. MARY COOPER

ARCHDALE - Mrs. Mary Carolyn Flowe Cooper, 70, of 614 Eden Terrace died Wednesday at her home.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.

She was a Union County native, a retired employee of Mr. Apparel and a Baptist.

Surviving are sister, Mrs. Grace Morris of High Piont; brother, George M. Flowe of Winston-Salem.

The family will be at Cumby Mortuary 7-8 p.m. today.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Randolph County.

FRED DAWSON

Fred Dawson of 807 Bellaire St. died Wednesday.

Arrangements are incomplete at Brown's Funeral Home.

He was a member of St. John's Masonic Lodge 12 and Omega Psi Phi fraternity.

MRS. LUCY HAWKINS

Mrs. Lucy Spencer Hawkins, 65, of 2437 Brandt Village Road died Tuesday at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westminster Gardens.

A native of Greensboro, she was a retired employee of Touchberry Realty Co. and a Methodist.

Surviving are husband, John S. Hawkins Sr.; sons, John S. Hawkins Jr. of Charlotte, James S. Hawkins of Greensboro; brother, James T. Spencer of Greensboro.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-8:30 p.m. today.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1114 Magnolia St., Greensboro, N.C. 27401.

O.C. JOHNSON

McLEANSVILLE - O.C. Johnson of 4726 Crossbend Road died Wednesday at his home.

Funeral plans are incomplete at Hargett Funeral Home.

MRS. DOROTHY LINKERT

Mrs. Dorothy Johnson Linkert, 80, of Greensboro died Wednesday at Evergreen Nursing Center.

Graveside service will be at Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn, N.Y.

She was a Brooklyn, N.Y. native.

Surviving are husband, Tristan Linkert Sr. of Flushing, N.Y.; sons, Tristan Linkert Jr. of Seattle, Wash., Jack Linkert of Astoria, N.Y.; daughter, Mrs. Alice DeCesare of Greensboro; six grandchildren.

Forbis & Dick Guilford Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

BILLY LOFLIN

ARCHDALE - Billy Ray Loflin, 62, of Route 5, High Point, died Wednesday at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cumby Mortuary. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.

A Guilford County native, Loflin was a retired employee of Pilot Freight Carriers and a World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are wife, Barbara E. Loflin; son, D. Dino Loflin of High Point; daughter, Mrs. Helen Steffey of Trinity; mother, Mrs. Alese J. Loflin of High Point; one half brother; two half sisters, three grandchildren.

The family will be at the mortuary 7-8:30 p.m. today.

MRS. EVIE MAY

Mrs. Evie Geneva May of 5308 Cadiz Road, Julian, died Wednesday at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral plans are incomplete at Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Funeral Home.

PLEASANT GARDEN - Paul Tommy Nichols, 44, of 5911 Westdale Drive died Wednesday.
