MRS. IRENE BAILEY

HIGH POINT - Mrs. Irene Norman Bailey, 77, of Piedmont Christian Home died Monday.Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Pittman, N.J.

A native of Surry County, she was a retired sales clerk and a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church.

Surviving are husband, Arthur Bailey; daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Jusko of Mickleton, N.J., Mrs. Anita Zieger of Millville, N.J., Mrs. Elaine Liquori of Sicklerville, N.J.; mother, Mrs. Marinda Norman Glasgow of High Point; brother, William ``Tommy' Norman of High Point; sisters, Mrs. Janet Bodenheimer of Wallburg, Mrs. Elizabeth Dix of Thomasville; nine grandchildren.

The family will be at Harold C. Davis Funeral Home 7-8:30 p.m. today.

MRS. LAELAH BAINES

HIGH POINT - Mrs. Laelah M. Baines, 65, of 848 Willow Place died Saturday at Randolph Memorial Hospital in Asheboro.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Carolina Biblical Gardens.

A native of Mount Gilead, she was a member of Senior Choir No. 1 and of the Young Adult Choir at her church. She was a retired High Point schools employee.

Surviving are husband, Elder Jesse Baines; daughters, Mrs. Snovia Lee, Mrs. Kim Carr, both of High Point; son, Lovia McDonald of Chicago; sisters, Mrs. Annie Mae McDonald, Mrs. Ardelia Haines, Mrs. Blainie Gaines, Mrs. Ozella Gordon, Mrs. Dorothy Little, all of Randleman; nine grandchildren.

The family will be at Haizlip Funeral Home 7-8 p.m. Thursday.

MARION CRAWFORD

Marion Crawford of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Sunday at her home.

Arrangements are incomplete at Hargett Funeral Home.

MRS. FLORA CRUTCHFIELD

Mrs. Flora Crutchfield of 837-B Broad Ave. died Sunday at The Evergreens.

REV. SHEPPARD CURTIS

HIGH POINT - The Rev. Sheppard Reece Curtis of 600 Habersham Road died Sunday at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at First Emanuel Baptist Church. Burial will be in Carolina Biblical Gardens.

A native of Spartanburg, S.C., he was founder and pastor of Greater New Jerusalem Holiness Church of God, and was a retired employee of the waste treatment plant in High Point.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Mary Chisem Curtis; daughters, Mrs. Queen E. Huntley, Mrs. Angilene Curtis Mitchell, Mrs. Annette Curtis Ojeifoh, all of High Point, Miss Enthea Curtis of Spring Valley, N.Y.; foster daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Stevenson of High Point; foster son, Carnell Stevenson of High Point; eight grandchildren.

The family will be at Greater New Jerusalem Holiness Church 7-8 p.m. Wednesday.

DONALD MCCURDY

Donald Clarke McCurdy, 81, of 2327 W. Cornwallis Drive died Monday at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington.

A native of Roanoke Rapids, he was a retired Greensboro Daily News lithograph operator and worked for the Greensboro News & Record for 33 years. He was a member of West Market Street United Methodist Church and a Mason in Gate City Lodge 694, AF&AM.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Margaret Hawkins McCurdy; daughters, Mrs. Carolyn M. Adcock of Long Beach; sons, Donald P. McCurdy of Charlotte, Alan C. McCurdy of Greensboro; brother, Willard McCurdy of Los Angeles; three grandchildren.

The family will be at the residence 7-9 p.m. today.

MOSE MCFADDEN

HIGH POINT - Mose McFadden, 75, of 3107 McLong St. died Saturday at his home.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at First United Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Carolina Biblical Gardens.

A native of Clarendon, S.C., he was a retired employee of E.E. Younts Construction Co. and a member of the Deacon Board and Missionary Group No. 1 at his church.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Florence Matthews, Mrs. Bertha Arnette, Mrs. Barbara Phillips, all of High Point; son, Willie Mose McFadden of High Point; sisters, Mrs. Easter Phillips of Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Naomi Wilson of Columbia, S.C.

The family will be at Haizlip Funeral Home 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, other times at the residence of Mrs. Barbara Phillips, 7606 Flormont Drive.

MILLER FUNERAL

Funeral for Mrs. Mary Miller of 1001 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, who died Saturday, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rising Ebenezer Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

A native of Greensboro, she was a former employee of Industries of the Blind.

Surviving are husband, Joe Miller; daughter, Devorah Smith of Greensboro; son, Bradford Tyrone Smith of Greensboro.

The family will be at Hargett Funeral Home 7-7:30 p.m. today.

JAMES MILTON

James Henry Milton of 4735 Holders Road died Sunday at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Lois Ann Sales of 3712 Cameron Ave. died Monday at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

FRANCES SMITH

HIGH POINT - Miss Frances Elizabeth Smith, 73, of 7856 Clinard Farms Road died Monday at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Cumby Eastchester Drive Mortuary.

A native of Richmond, Va., she was a former employee of Burlington Industries and a graduate of San Francisco Bible College. She was associated with the Red Cross and was a veteran of World War II and a member of Emerywood Baptist Church.

Surviving are mother, Mrs. Annie T. Smith of Kernersville; sister, Mrs. Dorothy Cooper of High Point; brother, Robert W. Smith of Sun Lakes, Ariz.

SNIPES FUNERAL

Funeral for Mrs. Johnie Gaye Snipes of 914 S. Benbow Road, who died Saturday, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bowman's Chapel Holiness Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.

A native of Chatham County, she was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher, choir member, church secretary, and treasurer at her church. She was a member of the Missionary Board and Church Deaconess Board and an ordained missionary evangelist.

Surviving are sons, John E. Snipes, Steven A. Snipes, Arthur Lee Snipes, all of Greensboro; sisters, Mrs. June Withers of Durham, Mrs. Ellen Shirer, Lizzy Surgeon, both of Greensboro, Mrs. Katherine Lunsford of Apex, Mrs. Edna Montgomery of Washington, D.C.; brothers, Oscar Snipes of Greensboro, John Henry French Jr. of Apex; five grandchildren.

The family will be at the church 7-8 p.m. today.

WEBB FUNERAL

HIGH POINT - Funeral for Mrs. Bonnie Louise Fidler Webb, 77, of 1512 Joshua St., who died Sunday, will be at 1 p.m. today at Cumby Eastchester Drive Mortuary. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.

Cathy McRae of Port St. Lucie was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram when it was struck about 10:05 a.m. by a Ford cargo van that crossed the center line, police said in a news release. McRae was taken to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries, police said.
