The Hampton Roads Admirals scored a team record five power-play goals and drubbed the Greensboro Monarchs, 10-3, before 4,448 fans Wednesday night at Scope.
The Admirals' 10 goals tied a team record and their 19 assists were one short of the mark set in November. Included in this orgy of excess were 120 minutes in penalties, 62 against the Monarchs and 58 against the Admirals.Leading the scoring parade for Hampton Roads, as usual, was Brian Martin. He scored his fourth hat trick of the season and added two assists for five points. The three goals gave him 51, breaking the team record of 49 held by Trevor Jobe.
More importantly, the Admirals put together consecutive victories for the first time since Jan. 25 and increased their lead over Johnstown to four points in the East Division of the East Coast Hockey League.\
