To the editor:
When I read the article about the man who had been convicted three times for drug dealing, I couldn't believe my eyes. The judge apologized for having to sentence him to life. The man said the law was bad. What kind of a judge would apologize to a three-time convicted felon, a drug-dealing felon? Maybe he hasn't heard that drugs are bad for our kids or that there is supposed to be a ``war on drugs.'
I think the law should be changed so the dealers get the chair for a felony conviction. I don't want to have to support them in prison for the rest of their lives. I wonder how many kids this guy infected or killed before he was convicted for the third time? Allen M. Baker Jr. Kernersville
