MAN KILLED WHEN CAR ROLLS OFF ROAD, FLIPS OVER TWICE |

A High Point man was killed Saturday after the car he was driving left the road, rolled down an embankment and flipped over twice.

Police said Klaus Erich Oelker, 27, of 706 Marlboro St., was thrown from the car and suffered head injuries. He was taken to High Point Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The accident occurred about 6:40 p.m. on the 3100 block of Dillon Road. A passenger in the car, Lewis Wharten Armfield II, 29, received minor injuries. He was treated and released from High Point Regional.
