Harold Brasington, the man who built Darlington Raceway, and Ralph Seagraves, the retired director of special events for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. who helped shape the modern NASCAR circuit, were named to the National Motorsports Press Association Hall of Fame Monday.

Seagraves was instrumental in having RJR sponsor NASCAR beginning in the early 1970s. He also helped form the Winston Million and The Winston race.
