MUSICAL ADVENTURE TO BE STAGED AT CASWELL CENTER

``Big River,' the Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 1985, will be presented at 8 p.m. March 10 at the Caswell County Civic Center in Yanceyville.

Described by Time magazine as ``the classic American musical with the most fetching score of the decade,' ``Big River' is the musical re-telling of Huckleberry Finn's adventure down the Mississippi River with his friend Jim, a runaway slave.Based on Mark Twain's ``The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' and with a score by country music's Roger Miller, ``Big River' swept the 1985 Tony Award ceremonies, winning Best Musical, Best Score, Best Book, Best Direction, Best Lighting and Best Featured Actor in a Musical.

Tickets for the National Touring Co. production in Yanceyville may be purchased at the Caswell County Civic Center or by phone for VISA and MasterCard customers at 694-4591. Admission for the performance is $12 and $15, depending on location. Students and senior citizens receive a $1 discount.
