North Carolina genealogist Dorothy Spruill Redford, co-author of ``Somerset Homecoming,' will be featured on tonight's episode of the PBS documentary series ``The American Experience.'
``Roots of Resistance: A Story of the Underground Railroad,' narrated by actress Ruby Dee, will include Redford's comments on Southern plantation life. She has done extensive research on Somerset Place, the eastern North Carolina plantation where her ancestors lived as slaves.``The American Experience' airs at 9 p.m. on WUNC (Channels 4 and 26).
