HIGH POINT — A woman riding a bicycle was at fault when a Ford Explorer struck her in High Point this evening, police said.
Carmen Gail King, 43, of High Point suffered a broken hip and possibly a broken arm about 8:10 p.m., when she made a wide turn from Ragan Avenue onto Pershing Street, swinging into the path of the oncoming SUV, police said.
King was taken to High Point Regional Hospital, then transferred to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, police said.
Because she was riding a bicycle, King does not face charges, police said.
