GUILFORD COUNTY’S MOST WANTED

Police advise anyone who knows the whereabouts of a suspect to notify law enforcement but not to try to apprehend the suspect.

- Dashaun H.L. Jones, 27, is wanted by Greensboro police on suspicion of two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a felon.

- His brother, Demetrius Dontae Jones, 26, is wanted by Greensboro police on suspicion of two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts of assault to inflict serious injury, injury to personal property and second-degree kidnapping.

According to police, the brothers had a fight with Terwayne Carmack at Carmack’s home on Yanceyville Street on Aug. 27. Demetrius Jones approached Carmack while pointing a revolver at him and told Carmack to get in Jones’ car. Carmack and Demetrius Jones struggled and Jones dropped the pistol. When he regained control of the gun, Jones pulled the trigger twice, but the weapon didn’t fire.

Police say Dashaun Jones also pointed the handgun at Carmack and pulled the trigger three times, but the weapon again failed to fire. Jones then struck Carmack in the head with the gun.

The next day, the two men returned to Carmack’s home and shot at Carmack, without hitting him, according to police.

Demetrius Jones is described as a black man, 5 feet 9 inches and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He goes by the nickname Shiz and has tattoos on the upper and lower parts of both arms.

Dashaun Jones is described as a black man, 5 feet 5 inches and 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The last-known address for both men is 7 Amherst Court, Greensboro.
