EUNICE LINDLEY BEASON Eunice Lindley Beason, 89, of Friends Homes at Guilford, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at Centre Friends Meeting, where she was a member and a birthright member of the Religious Society of Friends. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Eunice was a loyal supporter of Friends World Committee on Consultation, Friends Committee on National Legislation, American Friends Service Committee, Guilford College, Friends Homes, Friends Center, and The American Red Cross. She was an active worker in Centre Friends Meeting. She retired from the Guilford County School System, with more than forty years, where she touched the lives of many students. Preceding her in death were her parents, Newsom and Annie Lindley; and her husband, B.J. Beason.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Wanda Beason of Greensboro, and James and Linda Beason of Lexington; sisters, Esther Wellons of Victoria, Va., Margaret Brafford of Kinston, Sarah Stroup of Lincolnton; brother, James Lindley of Snow Camp; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998, at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory.
In lieu of flowers, donations many be sent to the Friends World Committee on Consultation, Centre Friends Meeting, Friends Homes, American Friends Service Committee or The American Red Cross.
