PINE HALL Myrtle Eva Hicks, 88, of 1050 Pine Hall Methodist Church Loop Road, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at Wesley Long Hospital, Greensboro.Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at the Ray Funeral Home Chapel, Madison. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Walkertown.

Mrs. Hicks was a lifelong resident of Stokes County, a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church and was a retired seamstress with Blue Bell, Inc. and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Paul Abraham Hicks and parents, David and Cora Hicks.

She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Lawson and husband, John, Edna Sands and Brenda Sizemore and husband, Mickey, all of Pine Hall, Nina Smith of Walnut Cove, Shirley Tucker and Madison; son, Howard Hicks of Pine Hall; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at Ray Funeral Home, Madison and all other times, at her residence.
