"BUZZ" CAMPBELLELON Donnie Ralph "Buzz" Campbell, 50, of 2270 Elon-Ossipee Road, died Monday, July 30, 2001, at his home. Mr. Campbell passed away after heroically battling with cancer for more than four years.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at Altamahaw Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Delmar Scotton, pastor of Altamahaw Pentecostal Holiness Church, the Rev. Danny Stephens, retired Pentecostal pastor and the Rev. Beacham Hoyle, retired Pentecostal pastor. Burial will be in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery.

A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Jim Henry Campbell and the late Verona Edwards Campbell. He medically retired from Honda Power Equipment after 15 years of service. He was a member of Altamahaw Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Joyce Sutton Campbell of the home; daughter, Ms. Leslie Nicole Campbell of the home; son, Donald Ray (Tammy) Campbell of Burlington; sisters, Mrs. Geneva Byrd of Burlington, Mrs. Marie Hardee of Chapel Hill, Mrs. Cathy Webster of Yanceyville, Mrs. Lavern Roscoe of Burlington; and brothers, Dewey Campbell and Jimmy Campbell, both of Burlington.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times, at the residence.
