
SHELTON FIELDS, JR.REIDSVILLE SHELTON LEWIS FIELDS, Jr., 71, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Friday March 27, 2015 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday March 31, 2015 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Reidsville, and inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.A native of Guilford County, he was a son of the late Shelton Lewis and Marie Davis Fields and had lived in Reidsville for the past 23 years. He was a retired employee of Bell South, a member of the Barney Chapter of the Andy Griffith Rerun Watchers Club, and a singer and percussionist with the Acousticians Band. Shelton was a R/C Airplane enthusiast, he was a pilot and built his own aircraft. A member of the E.A.A., he was a graduate of Summerfield School Class of 1962, which meets monthly for food and fellowship.Survivors include: his wife of 52 years Wanda Cranford Fields of the home, son: Brad Fields and wife Nancy of Middletown, NJ, daughter Jenny Coe and husband Jamie of Chesterfield, VA, a devoted grandfather to: Amanda Fields and Lainey Coe, brother: Luther Fields and wife Martha of Madison, sisters: Katie Fields of Liberty, Susan Fields of Chapel Hill, and Bonnie Fields and husband Ed Miller of Summerfield, many loving nieces and nephews, treasured friends: Mike and Kim Johnson, Luke Mitchell, Lewis Wyatt, and Charles Long.The family will see friends in the parlor of St. Thomas Episcopal Church immediately following the memorial service.Memorials may be made to: The Surry County Arts Council, 142 N.
