LEXINGTON - John Thomas ``Tom' Bailey, 87, of 519 N. Greensboro St. died Dec. 14, 1992, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Voglers-Piedmont Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lexington City Cemetery.A native of Thomasville, he was retired from the Lexington Fire Department, attended First Reformed United Church of Christ and was a member of N.C. Fireman's Association.

Surviving are son, Charles T. Bailey Sr. of Southmont; daughters, Ruth B. Fritts of Lexington, Mrs. Betty B. Phillips of Greensboro; sisters, Sadie Bailey, Sue Bailey, Ethel Bailey, all of Lexington; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

RANDLEMAN - Graveside service for Robert Franklin Bradley III, 25, of 408 East Naomi St., who died Dec. 14, 1992, will be at 11 a.m. today at Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian.

A native of Peoria, Ariz., he was an employee of Harris Teeter.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Lisa Whitt Bradley; son, Nicholas Bradley of the home; mother and stepfather, Sandra and James Hanson of Peoria, Ariz; father and stepmother, Robert and Cynthia Bradley of Staley.

MOCKSVILLE - Ella Mae Call, 92, formerly of Route 4, died Dec. 14, 1992, at Autumn Care of Mocksville.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Grove United Methodist Church cemetery.

A native of Davie County, she was retired from Burlington Mills and was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.

There are no immediate survivors.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-8:30 tonight.\

MISS GENEVA C. CHILDS

KERNERSVILLE - Miss Geneva Cleo Childs, 75, of 2539 Highway 66 South died Dec. 14, 1992, at Cloverdale Nursing Center.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cumby Funeral Home in High Point. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park.

A native of Burke County, Tenn., she was a retired secretary for Century Floor Covering and a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Viola Dabbs of Cloverdale Nursing Center, Mrs. Bessie Snyder, Mrs. Vivian Jenkins, both of Kernersville, Mrs. Loretta Welsh of Greensboro; brother, Charles B. Childs of Chapel Hill.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-8:30 tonight, other times at the home of Mrs. Bessie Snyder, 2541 Highway 66 South, Kernersville.\

ASHEBORO - Garland H. Cox, 81, of 225 Stowe Ave. died Dec. 15, 1992, at his home.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Science Hill Friends Meeting cemetery in Randolph County.

He was a native of Randolph County.

Surviving are son, Lawrence Cox of Pittsboro; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

VASS - Peggy Diane Curtis, 51, of Vass died Dec. 14, 1992, at Moore Regional Hospital.

She was a homemaker.

BURLINGTON - Lester Thomas Dalton, 84, of 1522 W. Webb Ave. died Dec. 14, 1992, at his home.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

A native of Pittsylvania County, Va., he was a retired textile manufacturer and a member of Bula Masonic Lodge 409.

Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Ethel Brumfield of Alta Vista, Va., Mrs. Alice Dalton, Mrs. Jennie Brumfield, both of Gretna, Va.; brother, Ira Dalton of Gretna, Va.

The family will be at the funeral home noon-2 p.m. Thursday.\

DANVILLE, Va. - Warren Kellas Earles, 68, of 73 Baltimore Ave. died Dec. 13, 1992, at Danville Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Swicegood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

A native of Axton, he was a retired printer for Dan River Mills, a Navy veteran and a Baptist.

SANFORD - John David Fender, 78, of 4101 Hunt Springs Drive died Dec. 13, 1992, at Central Carolina Hospital.

He was a native of Berrien County, Ga.

ANGIER - Eugene Palmer Foster, 84, of 209 Black River Drive died Dec. 13, 1992, at Wake Medical Center.

He was a native of Lee County.

REIDSVILLE - Jesse Grover Greer of 256 Greer Road died Dec. 15, 1992, at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Faith Christian Church, of which he was a charter member. His body was donated, at his request, to the Bowman Gray School of Medicine.

A native of Lenoir, he was owner and operator of the Rockingham County Frozen Food Plant, was a former operator of a freezer business in Greensboro and is believed to have founded the first recycling business in Rockingham County. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are wife, Stella Dyer Greer; son, Steven Greer of Reidsville; sister, Marjorie Greer Allred of Lenoir; brother, John Dysart Greer of Charlotte; two grandchildren.

Citty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

SANFORD - Mrs. Jessie Headen, 75, of 2121 Colon Road died Dec. 15, 1992, at Central Carolina Hospital.

BISCOE - Myrtle Harris Johnson, 87, of Bruton Street died Dec. 14, 1992, at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hood Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery.

A native of Montgomery County, she was a homemaker.

Surviving are sons, Curtis Harris of Charlotte, Robert Thomas Harris of the home; sisters, Annie Harris of Lexington, Della Harris of Biscoe; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

HARRY McGHEE JR.

MARTINSVILLE, Va. - Harry Taylor ``H.T.' McGhee Jr., 49, of 141 Salmons St. died Dec. 14, 1992, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount, Va.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at McKee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

A native of Franklin County, he was a retired spinning machine operator for DuPont, a National Guard veteran and a former minor league baseball player for a San Francisco Giants farm team.

Surviving are wife, Donna Holley McGhee; daughter, Mrs. Kimberly M. Wood of Greensboro, N.C.; parents, Harry T. and Virginia Davis McGhee; brothers, Bobby McGhee, Ronnie McGhee, both of Henry; sister, Mrs. Sandra Dorrell of Richmond; two grandchildren.

NORMAN - Funeral for Randall Wade McQueen, 31, of Laurel, Md., who died Dec. 13, 1992, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Concord United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A native of Biloxi, Miss., he was an employee of Applied Research Labs in Columbia, Md., a graduate of N.C. State University with a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Surviving are parents, Thomas and Clafton Boyles McQueen of Norman; sisters, Mrs. Gay Green of Ellerbe, Mrs. Theresa Mirassou of Norman.

She was a native of Lee County.

REIDSVILLE - Gladys Mangrum Murphy, 81, of 420 Gibbs Drive died Dec. 14, 1992, at her home.

A native of Danville, Va., she was a member of Maplelawn Baptist Church.

He was a retired farmer.

SURF CITY - Frank Helton Saul, 77, of Surf City died Dec. 12, 1992, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

A native of Guilford County, he was retired from Klopman Mills.

A native of Montgomery County, he was a former employee of Lake Side Furniture Co.

A native of Moore County, he was a retired supervisor for Purdue, a World War II Army veteran, a member of Eastern Star Chapter 283 and the Order of the Arrow.

A native of Alamance County, he was a former sawmill worker.

Surviving are sisters, Marie S. Trent of Reidsville, Evelyn S. Brogden of Stovall; brother, Willie Surratt of Swannanoa.
