PHI MU SPONSORING DRIVE FOR SOLDIERS

Phi Mu Fraternity at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is sponsoring a drive to collect items for Project Independence, a program in which canned goods, soap, toothpaste, gum and reading materials are sent to American soldiers in the Middle East.

The group is collecting donations from campus residents and neighborhoods in the area. They have shown further support for the troops by wearing red, white and blue ribbons attached to their book bags.The group is also seeking a sponsor to help with shipping cost and arrangements.

Those interested in donating goods or helping with shipping arrangements should call 272-0564. Donations will be accepted through Sunday.
