A 25-year-old Randolph County man was in serious condition Thursday at N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem after he was shot in the back during an early-morning domestic dispute, authorities say.
John Douglas Barnes of Route 7, Thomasville, was airlifted to Winston-Salem about 1 a.m. Thursday from his home in western Randolph County near the Davidson County line, authorities say.Barnes was shot with a .25-caliber pistol in an domestic argument, according to Maj. Allen McNeill of the Randolph County Sheriff's Department. County deputies have several suspects, but no one has been charged.
