The Randolph County Democratic Party will hold its annual precinct meetings today to elect delegates and precinct members to fill several vacancies.
The meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the county's 39 polling places.``Precinct meetings are the most basic ingredient for Democratic success,' the county's Democrat Party chairman, Steve S. Schmidly, said in a prepared statement. ``The precinct level is where all policy-making begins. The more that people get involved in precinct meetings, the better the party can represent the views of all Democrats.'
Democrats will elect delegates to the April 21 county convention and elect precinct members to fill any vacant office on the precinct committee, according to Schmidly.
