Gabriela Sabatini continued her domination of the women's tennis tour, winning her fourth title of the year by sweeping Steffi Graf in straight sets to take the Bausch & Lomb Championships held in Amelia Island, Fla.

The 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) victory capped a week in which Sabatini, the No. 2 seed, assured herself of moving up to No. 3 in the world rankings ahead of Martina Navratilova.Stefan Edberg overwhelmed Ivan Lendl 6-1, 7-5, 6-0 to win the championship of the Japan Open in Tokyo.

Emilio Sanchez Vicario beat Spanish rival Sergi Bruguera 6-4, 7-6 (9-7), 6-2 for the championship of the $650,000 Count de Godo tennis tournament held in Barcelona.

Former Cleveland State guard Kenneth ``Mouse' McFadden has been charged with drug abuse after he and a friend were allegedly found using cocaine, according to Cleveland police.

McFadden, 28, and Edward D. Garven, 32, both of Cleveland, were arrested Friday night in a parked car, said Sgt. Gary Gingell. Gingell said vice officers on a routine patrol saw the two men parked outside a bar around 9 p.m. Friday.

Ricky Henderson, who is two thefts shy of surpassing Lou Brock's record 938 steals, was out of the Oakland Athletics' starting lineup for the third straight game since straining his left calf muscle last Thursday.

Manager Tony La Russa feels that Henderson will miss several more games, but wants to avoid putting him on the 15-day disabled list.
