SAT course offered Two Scholastic Aptitude Test preparatory courses will be offered by Greensboro Day School for all students in the community who are planning to take the March 31 or May 5 SAT examination.

Classes for both courses will meet from 7:15-9 p.m. on four Wednesday nights at the school. Classes for the March 31 SAT preparatory course will meet Feb. 28 and March 7, 21 and 28. Classes for the May 5 SAT preparatory course will meet April 4, 11, 18 and May 2.The fee for each course is $90 plus $7 for the text, payable in advance or at the first session. Checks should be made payable to Greensboro Day School.

Students are asked to call 288-8590 to register.

Scholarships available High school students who are interested in applying for $1,000 college scholarships should request applications by March 16 from Educational Communications Scholarship Foundation, 721 N. McKinley Road, Lake Forest, Ill. 60045.

To receive an application, students should send a note stating their name, address, city, state and zip code, approximate grade point average and year of graduation.

Sixty-five winners will be selected on the basis of academic performance, involvement in extracurricular activities and need for financial aid.

Prep honors David Saab of Greensboro earned honor roll standing for the fall semester at The Gunnery, a college preparatory school in Washington, Conn.

Kristen Anne Coates has been named to the B honor roll for the second marking period at Stuart Hall. She is a junior at the college preparatory school for girls in Staunton, Va.
