Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher suffered a toe injury in the Super Bowl and will not play in Saturday’s Pro Bowl.
Antonio Pierce of the New York Giants will replace the Bears middle linebacker on the NFC team.
TAYLOR ON PRO BOWL ROSTER: Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor was added to the NFC’s Pro Bowl roster after Brian Dawkins of the Philadelphia Eagles withdrew because of personal reasons.
Taylor, who will be making his first Pro Bowl appearance, was a first alternate when Pro Bowl rosters were announced in December. He had an erratic season — making only one interception — but he led the Redskins with 129 tackles and showed ability to intimidate wide receivers with jarring hits.
JOSEPH APPEARS IN COURT: Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Johnathan Joseph pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana in Burlington, Ky. Joseph was scheduled for another hearing on Feb. 22 in Boone County District Court.
The first-round draft pick made his first court appearance since his arrest Jan. 22 on the misdemeanor charge. He was the ninth Bengals player arrested in a nine-month span.

Perry, who coached the Steelers’ secondary since 2003, resigned last month following a meeting with new Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin. Raiders coach Lane Kiffin brought him on board to replace Lorenzo Ward.
