SUIT FILED AGAINST PAN AM

Pan Am customers, including a couple whose daughter died in the bombing of Flight 103, sued the airline Monday claiming it collected surcharges for a security system that was never developed.

The lawsuit charged that millions of Pan Am passengers between 1986 and 1989 were defrauded by the $5-a-ticket security surcharge on trans-Atlantic flights and an advertising campaign on the security system.
