Two Alamance County men were arrested Thursday on charges that they kidnapped and robbed two teens at knife point after asking their victims for a ride home from a bowling alley, the Alamance County Sheriff's Department reported.

The incident began Wednesday night at Burlington Lanes when two men asked Billy Jack Truitt, 18, and a 15-year-old friend for a ride home. After Truitt and his friend agreed, one of the men pulled what appeared to be a box cutter and held it to Truitt's throat, demanding money. Truitt had $2, and his friend had $5, the sheriff's report said.

The men then forced them to drive to the younger boy's house so that he could go in and get more money. The teenager called the sheriff's department, according to the report.

Charged with robbery and second-degree kidnapping were Wendell Robin Hall, 28, of Counterwood Drive in Mebane and Michael Scott White, 20 of 168 Gray St. in Burlington.
