United Way of Randolph County will hold its 34th annual meeting and campaign recognition dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Pinewood Country Club.
The program will include election of officers and directors for 1991, awards for outstanding businesses and individuals who helped in the 1990-91 fund drive, and announcement of the 1991 campaign chairman and his staff.More than $706,000 was raised in the fall campaign to help fund 28 human service agencies, according to campaign chairman Jerry W. Hartgrove. This total is a 6 percent increase over the amount raised in 1990, the largest amount ever raised by United Way of Randolph County.
``The dinner on March 7 will recognize the tremendous amount of time and talent donated by hundreds of individuals from throughout Randolph County,' Hartgrove said. ``The money donated to United Way is a reflection of the generosity of the people of our community.
Reservations are required for dinner. Cost is $12.50. The banquet is open to the public.For reservations, call the United Way office at 625-4207 by Monday.
