Three of the 12 members of Davidson County Community College's board of trustees are up for reappointment or replacement.

Board members Charlie England, Dr. Charles Gilliam and Becky Hundley fulfilled their eight-year terms. England was appointed by the governor in 1983. Gilliam and Hundley were appointed by the Davidson County Commissioners the same year. Hundley has served on the board since 1975.Every year, three board members come up for replacement or reappointment. None of the three whose terms expired June 30 have yet been reappointed. Nor have any replacements been appointed, said Bette Newsome, public information officer for the college.

``In the past the replacement process has taken as late as August, and board members have continued to serve until a replacement is appointed,' Newsome said.\
