WATER LIKE A WET BAND-AID?

Atlanta wine connoisseur Lisa Caye Taylor thinks Charlotte city water tastes like a wet Band-Aid.

In a blind taste test of water from 10 Southern cities, a five-person panel ranked Charlotte's water ninth, just above Orlando's.``It tasted like when you have a Band-Aid on your finger, and you get in the shower and you get out and suck the water out of the Band-Aid,' Taylor wrote in the May issue of Southpoint magazine, due today.

Curtis Frederick, Charlotte's water treatment superintendent, said, ``I have never heard it described in that manner.'
