WATER SHORTAGE COULDN'T BE ANTICIPATED, MAYOR SAYS

A weekend water shortage crisis in Hendersonville could not have been anticipated, Mayor Don Michalove said Monday.

``It's something you can't plan on,' Michalove said. ``It just happened. We take every precaution, and our reaction was right away.'Water and Sewer Director Tom Kilpatrick said the rupture of the 30-year-old check valve is unusual.
