EDEN — Two men escaped from a fiery Duke Energy helicopter crash here on April 28, but their pilot died when the Bell 429 aircraft went down in a wooded area near the Dan River Combined Cycle Station.
There's no word yet on what may have caused the crash that killed the pilot and left two injured. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
